Terms of Service

1. What Showsmith is

Showsmith is a podcast production service run by Phillip Productions. You send a raw recording; you get back a produced, publish-ready episode — edited and mastered audio plus show notes, titles, and social copy. It’s production craft, not a guarantee of downloads, growth, or any business outcome.

2. Payments & refunds

You’re paying for professional production time.

• Before production starts: cancel for a full refund, no questions.
• Once production starts, payment is non-refundable — apart from the length-difference settle below. The work is the product, and the work gets done. If something in the finished episode isn’t right, you’re not stuck with it: every order includes one revision round, and I’ll work with you until the episode is publish-ready.
• Length differences settle both ways. Pricing goes by the raw length of the files edited. If that comes in shorter than the band you paid for, the difference comes back to you as credit; if it runs into a higher band, the difference settles before your episode is delivered.
• Free founding episodes have no cash value and can’t be exchanged, transferred, or accumulated — one per person or show.

3. Your content is yours — and your responsibility

By sending a recording you confirm that you own it, or have permission to use everything in it — voices, guest contributions, music, and any clips.

Showsmith edits and packages what you provide. You review, approve, and publish your episode, and what your show says is yours — claims, advice, opinions, and guest statements included. You agree that Showsmith and Phillip Productions are not responsible or liable for the content of your show or for the consequences of publishing it, and if a third party brings a claim against Showsmith over content you supplied or published, you agree to cover those costs.

4. What you get, and who owns it

Your raw recording stays yours, always. The finished episode and its written materials become yours on payment (for free founding episodes, on delivery). I may say your show was produced with Showsmith — with a quote or logo only if you say yes.

5. Turnaround & episode length

The clock that matters: once production starts on your episode, the finished cut is back within a day. When your upload lands you’re in line; during busy stretches episodes go into production in the order they arrive, and you’ll be told when yours starts. It’s an honest target I hit, not a contractual deadline; if something ever pushes it, you’ll hear from me before you have to ask.

Every order covers up to 2 hours of raw audio per episode. Got something longer? Ask before you send and we’ll sort it out.

6. Your files

Uploads are used to produce your episode — nothing else. Production uses professional tools, including AI-assisted transcription; your audio is never used to train anything. Raw uploads are deleted 30 days after delivery, and finished files are kept 90 days — keep your own copies of both.

7. The sensible limits

• Showsmith’s total liability for anything connected to an order is capped at the amount you paid for that order.
• No liability for indirect or consequential damages — lost profits, lost audience, lost sponsorships.
• I can decline or refund (before production) any order that isn’t a fit — including content I’m not willing to work on.

8. Changes

These terms may evolve as Showsmith grows. The version published when you paid or submitted is the one that applies to that order.
